Hello and welcome again to our life here in Bangkok, Thailand! We know that getting us in your ears every week satisfies your curiosity to a certain level, but sometimes pictures work really, really well. Sheila’s added some 2,000 photos to Flickr since our travels began, and has hundreds available from our life here in Bangkok. Really, you should see them.

As for the podcast… We share two other stories on today’s program, one from Thailand and another from, or at least about, India:

1. Sheila Masters Muay Thai

Music credit: Upbeat Forever by Kevin MacLeod

Sheila’s been getting into Muay Thai fighting over the last few weeks. And while she’s not quite ready to protect The Kingdom from hordes of invaders, it may keep a drunken expat or two at bay. Especially if they don’t want their eardrums ruptured.

2. Astrologers Picked My Wife

Music credit: Temple Ruins by Kevin MacLeod

We’ll be the first to admit that we don’t get the whole concept of arranged marriages. But we’ve been around the block enough to know not to judge other cultures by our own standards. Still, it’s damned weird to let an astrologer anywhere in your life, let alone having an influential voice on who you should marry. As our friend and fellow Bankokian Cassie tells Evo, it’s still the way things are done in India. Be advised that Evo’s language gets a little more raw than normal as he waxes philosophically on human nature during the discussion Blame the wine they both had too much of if you like.

And that’s the show!

We’re now scheduling interviews with friends and fans so we can feature their travel stories on our show. If you haven’t yet heard from us, that’s probably an oversight on our part, so get in touch. We’d love to have you on the show.

Special thanks to Kevin MacLeod of Incompetech.com for our theme music Upbeat Forever and all of the music used in this episode.
